Associate Professor Chiew Wong is a Consultant Cardiologist subspecialising in Diagnostic Cardiology and cardiac imaging (certified Cardiac MRI, Advanced Level Echo specialist, Advanced level Cardiac CT specialist). His clinical interests also include valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, Cardiovascular Risk Assessment & Management and heart failure management.

 
 

A graduate from the University of Melbourne, he pursued subspecialty fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging/ Echocardiography and subsequently achieved a PhD in Cardiology. He further expanded his multi-modality cardiac imaging repertoire to include cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI. 

Dr Wong has dedicated his service in the North West metropolitan areas for more than 10 years. He leads the non-interventional cardiology services, Western Health and has been an active member of the Northern Department of Cardiology since its establishment. He undertakes an active teaching role as a Clinical Associate Professor for the University of Melbourne supervising both clinical and research programs.

Prof. Wong cardiovascular research interest include chronic disease management, cardiac care delivery, quality control and early detection and management of cardiac disease. His work has been published in the Lancet, the Circulation, the Journal of American College of Cardiology & the American Journal of Cardiology.
